Stadium Approved Bags

What size bag can I take to the football game this weekend??

What size are Stadium Approved Bags??

Labor day is almost here, for most that signals the unofficial end of summer, but in my house it means the start of college football season. Last year I went to a big opening game at the Georgia Dome. I heard they were only allowing small purses in the stadium, so I choose a cute “small bag” that matched my outfit perfectly and off I went. Well, upon arrival I was quickly told that my “small” bag was not small at all, in-fact it was huge compared to the new stadium regulations  (4.5 x6.5). I had to leave my expensive bag with stranger, in exchange for a very ugly plastic bag. I walked  around all afternoon and evening carrying a ziplock plastic bag. Don’t let this happen to you as you head off to cheer your favorite team to victory.

These are the regulations for both the Georgia Dome, SEC college stadiums, NFL & basically everyone else!

Are all purses prohibited?

No. Small clutch purses, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″ are permitted along with either the 12″ x 6″ x 12″ clear tote bag or the one-gallon freezer bag. Fans are encouraged not to bring any bags, but the policy has been created to balance fan needs with improved public safety and convenience.

Someone asked me to find some stylish tiny options, remember allowed bags are about the size of your hand, this was much harder than you might think! As always, I looked for a variety of prices and styles. Walking around in a great outfit and a freezer bag is not the most stylish option- here are some better choices!

So please, don’t walk around this weekend carrying all your private items in a clear freezer bag… Shop the Post-
