NYFW: Grateful & Plaid

New York Fashion Week, NYFW, was amazing, I am grateful to experience this wild and glamours aspect of the fashion world, and also grateful that it makes me so happy to return to my husband, kids and dogs, far away from camera flashes and stick thin models. Sitting in my hotel room, I am antsy about returning to Atlanta in anticipation of what IRMA is doing to Florida and others parts of the South.  My thoughts and prayers are with all the Florida, Georgia & Alabama residents. I have been thinking recently about how we take so much for granted until we have to do with out it. So my resolution as I return home is to acknowledge both my large and small blessings every day.

So yes, it was great trip. Highlights include SAKS FIFTH AVENUE The Runway Starts at Saks and Reopens the the 3rd Floor Party, the Jonathan Simkhai Runway Show, Milly, and Francesa Liberatore’s unbelievable shows unvailing the fabulous fashion we have to look forward to next spring, and meeting one of my favorite bloggers Damsel in Dior. We were staying in the same hotel. I can not tell you how beautiful she is! Jacey is so kind, and asked to have a drink together, which I unfortunately could not do, but we are supposed to video chat. I certainly hope that pans out!!

Before I go into deep details about the shows, I want to post details about this outfit. I had so much response and injuries about the pants and shoes after I posted them on Instagram, I just had to share the details!

From bags, to form-fitting frocks, plaid gets a sophisticated update for fall. There are so many ways to work plaid into your wardrobe.  I love the more sophisticated vibe you can achieve with plaid dresses, pleated midi skirts, blazers and of course pants like these. Best of all there are ample choices of color, pattern, fabric and styles in plaid right now.I can’t say enough about how fabulous the Langham Place New York was to me during NYFW. It was my third stay at a Langham property. Langham Chicago and Langham New York are the places to stay when you visit those cities!Statement Pants #KirboStyle:
